A Blogger’s Spring Must Haves…

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]Spring / Summer 2016 in Quattro Rish is shaping up to be be a strong season, with an emphasis on colour (brights win), a focus on outstanding fabrics (the softest cashmere and featherlight silks) and emerging new and super flattering denim shapes. Quattro Rish have Spring/ Summer covered, balanced with the fact that style also equals comfort and quality is paramount there is a piece in their collection (or two or three..) for everyone.

I had the pleasure of compiling my season must haves from Quattro Rish. There are so many looks to choose from I was spoilt for choice. My personal brief is always comfort, wearability, a flash of colour with a fashion twist. I need clothes to work hard for me, they need to pay they way in wearability and also need to work with my current wardrobe.

Here are my Spring Key Looks…

This Jumper1234 sweater is the ultimate in luxurious fabric, feels light as a feather and looks eye catching with it’s neon stripes. A casual take on this years Pink trend, this sweater would work beautifully over denim shorts and white pumps throughout the summer months, a capsule wardrobe must have. The MiH jeans are this year’s new shape ‘The Tomboy’, slightly high rise but not as high and unflattering as Mom jeans, they are super stretchy and the most beautiful colour. These will be your Summer ‘go to’ jeans, light but flattering, the perfect length and shape. Wear with trainers or flat sandals by day, in the evening dress up with heels and a silk shirt. The Rose Rankin trainers take this season’s pink and camouflage trend and blend them effortlessly creating a casual and cool look.

This Twist & Tango jumpsuit maxes out on the 70s trend, the perfect, comfortable piece to wear to a wedding, summer party or for drinks at the beach. In the spring pop a black, tux style jacket over the top, add a pair of gold heels for a beautiful elegant look, or add a pair of tan flat sandals in the summer for cool, laid back, chic look. Spring 2016 fashion done 4 ways

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]Each year we get majorly excited at Quattro Rish when the Spring collections start arriving, the thought of fresh designs and colours after a season of heavy knits and rain is hugely appealing. With a team of four working together at QR it is really interesting to see how differently we buy and style, each of us choosing very different pieces from the collections.

Today’s post is about four women, each of whom have very different life styles. Ivy and her husband Roberto founded Quattro Rish nearly 9 years ago. With twins aged 5 Ivy is forever on the run, either merchandising, serving, styling customers, paying bills or the school run! She loves big jumpers, funky pants, trainers and has a bit of an addiction to the white shirt (MiH a favourite). Ivy’s style can be described as masculine with a feminine twist – imagine a casual wardrobe with silk shirts, jumpsuits with the occasional pair of feminine shoes.

The Current Elliott industrial pants are just so comfortable and I love the kick bottoms with the higher waist. I feel effortlessly cool in them and can wear them either with trainers and a jumper / tee, but I can also dress them up with my favourite MiH white Ile shirt, pointy pumps and clutch.

“The cardigan is pure luxe, I love the combo of grey and cream, it never dates and always looks chic. I can wear it now under my coat and in the spring as a coat. The trainers are just a bit of fun as I never wear prints so I wanted to jazz up some of my simpler outfits. Sam has two grown daughters in their twenties and has reached that enviable stage in life where she can travel the world, dine out and enjoy life with husband. “I picked this outfit because I absolutely love the American Vintage Shirt. I normally go for blouses with a scoop neck as the collar does not suit my style, however this feels so silky and soft, and it drapes so perfectly, that it looks great on. Helen adores clothes but chooses carefully what to buy. I like the combo of navy and black which is so French and absolutely adore these Ivylee shoes – they have a built in little wedge so give a little height. They would look great with a dress or skirt as they make your legs look longer with the open front.

The Coster Copenhagen Jumper is a useful black top but with a difference – holes – and is so easy to wear! I am obsessed with the silk zodiac blouse by MiH, it is a classic and my spring investment piece. I will be cocooning myself in the beautiful pink cardigan on cold winter days, luxurious and soft this is the perfect layering piece it will look just as good over your Little Black Dress as it will under a parka for a country walk.

Say it with Stripes !

A perennial print trend, stripes are big news again for spring/summer 2015. From skirts to shirts, trousers and blouses, stripe is one of the biggest trends of the season and are coming from all directions at different widths and in refreshingly vibrant hues. Take a closer look at fashion bloggers and you will see stripes at the forefront of current street look trends.

Have some fun with colour and take standard stripes to a playful level. Whether subtle or bold, high contrast or red, it’s all about going linear. For spring, there’s only one rule of thumb — more is more. So, mix, match and pile it on because this season you can’t go wrong !
